Unlocking the keys to elevation in 2025

Writer: Kee IsadoreKee Isadore

Hi, hello, heeyyyy! It's been quite a while since I've blogged , as I took a seasonal break during the holidays, but the blog is back! Thank you for reading and joining me back here for another year of conversations, growth and biblical instruction as we dive into topics meant to grow us in our spiritual walk as we seek God and this set apart life.

2025 is sure to be a year that will take us on a ride with various changes and challenges and as we know God is sure to keep His promises, let us see to go higher in Him.

I want to start this year's first blog with the topic of elevation. We all want to grow in certain areas of our lives and I believe in order for us to be successful we must first prioritize God and His plans for us.

God's plan of elevation can sometimes feel uncertain to us, as we often may feel we don't know what it is we should be seeking or even doing in those times when we feel God is being quiet. The bible tells us that God is for us, wants us to prosper in our lives and above all, to know Him and be conformed ultimately to the image of Christ.

There are keys to elevating to the place that God has for you to be in. To adequately get to the position there are certain keys we need to obtain to help us in our spiritual walk.

Let's take a look at one of my favorite disciples Peter as a model in this blog topic today.

Peter is my favorite because he would often be unpredictable, too eager, too hasty but also could be used by the Holy Spirit to reveal things, and he was a close disciple to Jesus , even with his many flaws. Overall, Peter reminds me of myself, and maybe you see a little of yourself in Peter.

Key # 1: Separation sometimes proceed elevation- learn to accept it.

We see often in scripture that before Jesus taught the crowds, or did miracles, he would isolate himself, go alone to be with his Father or pray. Before He began his mission, He was alone in the wilderness being prepared and tempted. This separation was a time of hard preparation for Jesus. Although, his body was weakened due to his fasting, his spirit was powerful and getting ready to make his way onto the world stage as the healer, miracle worker and the begotten Son of God. Peter too was separated for a while from the other disciples after the crucifixion of Jesus- probably due to shame and fear. But we see that once Jesus is risen from the dead, He calls for and proceeds to restore Peter. Sometimes in our lives we may experience isolation from others as God may need to get you alone to pour into you or direct you for the elevation He wants to bring you to. Seek God during this time. Accept the separation work He may do so you can get to know Him more intimately. Humble yourself in order to be raised in whatever way and capacity He chooses.

Key # 2:Accept God's timing

We can sometimes get ahead of God's schedule of elevation . We want microwave success, or we become accepting of doing things with a carnal mind to bring about our own elevation instead of waiting on God. We must train ourselves to trust in God's timing. His timing needs no shortcuts or human interference. His timing is perfect. Remember the goal of getting to an elevated state is to be sure it's within God's perfect will and it's doors He has opened and not entrances we have made ourselves. We don't want to be thieves and attempt to steal or worm our way into certain positions only to realize we are not ready or that where we are is not where God wants us to be.

Key # 3: Service is crucial to elevation

Leaders or people in positions of power or leadership are often placed in those spaces due to their service to others. One cannot lead if they cannot properly serve. Even in the workplace, the manager or supervisor who can connect with their employee is one that has either been where they have been or shows great compassion and knowledge for the job and serves accurately in the role as a leader. The same can be said for someone wanting to go higher in God.

Ask yourself how are you serving now where you are? How are you stewarding what has already been given to you now, in this season? These are good questions to ask yourself as it will reveal the root or motive for your desire for elevation. These questions reveal your motive to yourself, not to God. He already knows our hearts desire and if our desires are ultimately wanted to give Him glory or if we want elevation to shine for ourselves.

Jesus was our best example of a servant. He even cleaned His disciples feet, showing us that if the Son of Man was a servant, then we must follow His example and be willing to serve as well.

The whole point or reason for the Christian to elevate is to ultimately point others to God and His Son Jesus Christ. Whether it's that new house you want, that new position at work, to lead in ministry or start a business. It all should give glory to the Father and be of use for the kingdom while we steward it in our lives while we are here.

God is a great gift giver.

Are we following Jesus like the crowds- just to be fed or to witness a miracle. Or do we know that sometimes we may fail Him like Peter, but believe that we will be restored to serve Him will our whole hearts?

I believe God does indeed want to elevate us , especially this year.

But are we ready? Are we seeking Him? Are our motives pure?

Remember the way up is down, meaning humble yourself, pray, seek God and be open to how and what He wants to elevate in and thru you.

I challenge you to think about what you want God to elevate in your life, whether it's a financial blessing, a spiritual elevation or something else. Ask God to reveal if what you want is what He wants for you. He'll show us , if we seek Him.

I want all God wants for me this year, and if He says not yet, I want to be able to accept that as well and trust that He knows what's best for me.

See you next time!

Keep Shining!

Kee Isadore
